Fast-food giant McDonald's has launched a petition to get the dictionary definition of a McJob changed.

I'm just amazed that the word "McJob" is even in the Oxford English Dictionary.  I never even heard of the word until just 2 minutes before posting this.  I'm baffled.  That is kind of messed up too, I don't think working at McDonalds is an unstimulating low-paid job with few prospects. Think about it, it teaches how to work in a team, deal with a diverse group of people, working under A LOT of pressure, and it can certainly lead to bigger prospects like a gig in the corporate office.  No I'm not kidding, I'm dead serious!

I still wouldn't eat the stuff and avoid their chain like the plague but hey I'm willing to give the folks who work at these places a little bit of credit.  I will even dare say that I prefer them over postal workers, that's right.  Have you been to the post office lately? Can they move any slower?????

Now to something unrelated, look what I got from Vanessa at A Fanciful Twist

Isn't that the funkiest shopping tote ever??? The photo is actually hers, I didn't take a picture of mine but it's the same thing.  I need to put some goodies together for her because she is just a sweetie. I also have a little package I'd like to put together for another blogger who shall remain nameless, surprise!!!!

Oh dear...

And the winner for the most tacky-decorated apartment goes to....this place.  What the hell is going on here? Plastic, white, columns, that bathroom is so ugly it's not even worthy of my poo...sorry but it's true.

Mother's Day Recap

I may have to cross post this on Cupcakes & Yoga but I just wanted to take a moment and talk about my weakness, cupcakes.

Sunday before heading to see me mum, I had to, just HAD to make a pit stop at The Cupcake Cafe where I picked up this lovely treat

A vanilla butterscotch cupcake. It was as good as it looked. Their cupcakes are soooooooooooooo rich and moist, my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth just thinking about it!

Then I went out for some air and watched some doggies play.

Last I went to the deck at the top of my parents building and took some scenic shots of the city on a nice sunny day, face it, it was too nice to be indoors.

Of course I got to spend time with my mom and she loved her soap basket. :) An added bonus was getting to spend time with my niece. I am also her Godmother so she gave me a little present too, a cute little angel that is now sitting on my desk at work making me smile whenever I look at it.

Happy Mother's Day

Hello! Just popping in to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's who may come across Pulp Sushi.

I got you some tulips! Take a wiff. :)

I will be heading to my folks tomorrow for dinner and spending the night. Even though it is the one day that Mom shouldn't lift her finger, she will be cooking away for everyone and that's the way she likes it. I have to say that she is the easiest person to shop for. She loves those baskets with the shower gels and soaps, it doesn't even have to be from The Body Shop, it could be from the 99 cents store and she'll act like its the greatest thing. No, I don't buy my mom presents from the 99 cents store, that's just wrong!

Grow your own!

Time for some CUTENESS!  You like mint? Basil? Oregano? How about growing your own in a little Tater Pot? is just a cesspool of cutesy items for your home and your closet.  If I wasn't planning on moving out, I would so get these and grow them on my balcony but why get more things just to pack up a couple of months later?  But still, how cute!
