Pendants have been sitting on my table for a couple of weeks now saying "Play with me!!!!!" By the time I get home during the week I am just completely exhausted and brain-drained.

I'm starting to get my act in gear for my first show in 2009! It's gonna be on Saturday, February 28th in Fishkill, NY. I will post a separate entry about it soon but it's gonna say the least lol.

Red Oscar is back, this time with black eyes. I wasn't sure about it at first but I think it looks good. Plus the heart charm gives it a little something extra sweet.

The voting has ended on Etsy's "How Do You Say Love" contest. I did not win but I wanted to thank everyone who voted for me. You can see the results here.

SUPER BOWL tomorrow! Who are you cheering for? Do you even care?

I'm so excited you guys! I'm checking out a new yoga studio after work tomorrow. I haven't stepped foot inside a studio for MONTHS! I'm taking it easy and going to a beginner/intermediate class. It's only a couple of blocks from the office so I'm hoping this works out.

Time to crack the whip!

It's a been a few days since my last entry. I've been taking things slow since the New Year and I'm slowly getting back into gear.  And I'm not the only one.  This past Sunday, The {NewNew} York Etsy Team had a party as a cheers for all of the hard work we done and the great accomplishments made in 2008.

Good food, good company, and good conversation.  And yes, I'm definitely not the only one who's been kind of taking a mental break from the Etsy business.

My "to do" list continues to grow with new ideas in my Blue Stitch notepad. It's just a matter of finding the time to sit down and hammer everything out.   A reason for this is because I was asked if I would be interested in vending at an event at the end of February and it just sounded too good to pass up.

The First Annual Hudson Valley SOCIAL PARIAH Festival to benefit The Pitch for Kids Fund is happening Feb. 28th in Fishkill, NY.  It's to support local artist and designers. There will be live music and entertainment, music, tattoo artist, and more and I'm soooo excited to be doing this.   I wish I can share a website link or post a flier but that will be coming soon.

DCL Love Time

It's that time again for Decorative Country Living to show off their latest stuff.   I absolutely want to own everything on their website for my fantasy cottage...

So I've started working a 9 to 5 gig. It is only temporary hence me not being online so much.  I do not know how long this assignment will go for.  Unfortunately, it leaves me less time to promote the shops and make new items.  By the time I get home, I get on the computer to check my email, try to catch up on some blog reads and before you know it, it's time for bed!   Besides I'm tired! I'll find my routine again and get back to making more fun stuff.

Thank goodness for future dated blog entries.

Juicy Christians? I like the sound of that!

The other day I was in one of the Etsy chatrooms and discovered juicychristiansWhat's up with that name? So I clicked her shop, sure enough, it is another "Christian Etsy Seller" but wait a second, with a name like that and a very eye catching banner which says "Express your faith in style", there's a lot more to Nathifa and her shop...

I can dig that! In fact, I dig a lot of her collage jewelry...

This shop is just really nicely put together with a nice collection of colorful, bold, and expressive pieces.

And I can't end this without plugging her blog, The Secret Life Of a Juicy Christian.

Down With DaWanda!

I saw this item from Die Krämerin on the front page of DaWanda last week and I made a mental note to post this.  This shop is in German even though some of the items descriptions are in English. The work speaks for itself.  I love fake food almost as much as real food!

I got some stuff going on that I can't really get into but I hope to continue updating on a regular basis.  Including featuring more shops again and little things that tickle my fancy. :)

New for Friday

As I am anxiously awaiting Spring to come and all the fresh colors it brings, I have been inspired to make more lighthearted, fun items.  Sure I had Valentine's Day in mind for some, probably the most over-hyped, commercialized "holiday" there is but it's a great excuse to make something like this...

Of course in my world, you can wear this any time of the year and be cooler than the next person.

Oh no not another cupcake necklace! Oh yes, and it's chocolate this time.  You wanna lick the frosting don't you?

I love these pink flower pendants, such a perfect size and they put you in the mood for Spring time.

All of these can be found in the Etsy and DaWanda shops.

I want to take a moment to mention starting back in December, I switched the kind of silver chains used for necklaces.  The chains now are much more durable and I am so much happier with it.

Retreat by pulpsushi

It has been SO long since I played around in Polyvore. Check out my dream bedroom, sorta.  It was the mood I was in.  Other times I may want something more contemporary.  I was in a Cottage/Victorian mood...if that makes sense hee hee!  I'm pretty schizophrenic when it comes to interior design.  I was just thinking about what kind of room I would like to escape to, to just relax and leave all my worries and cares behind and this is what came out.

Speaking of relaxing and escape, I managed to get off my butt, pop in one of my yoga dvds and practiced for about an hour today after MONTHS of not doing so.  I hope to do it again tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that. I desperately need it. My body  has gotten so tight over the last few months, especially since I'm sitting in front of my computer more. It's hell on your upper back.
