Hi! I'm Marilyn, a native New Yorker, a yoga fiend, a fan of horror movies, and 100% caffinated. I spent years tapping into my creativity trying to find the right outlet (ie: fashion, art, music, photography) and nothing stuck until I started making jewelry. Now I live in the Hudson Valley in a town called Fishkill, funny huh? Sushi...Fishkill....anyway...

Pulp Sushi is a one woman operation which began in June 2006 where I was selling custom made notebooks and marble magnet sets. After a couple of months and some extra marbles, it morphed into kitschy, fun jewelry and accessories for the young at heart. I really took an interest in making jewelry that a woman can wear that looks young and playful but not childish.  You can find my pieces on Etsy and DaWanda.

Pieces include vintage finds and the boldest, brightest of colorful charms. I draw inspiration from my eclectic interests such as vintage pinup glamour, retro iconography, old horror, and low-brow art.  I try to reflect my mix taste and styles in my pieces.  Some of my favorite people in the world are Josh Agle (Shag), Tim Burton, Rob Zombie, Bettie Page, Anna Sui, and Betsy Johnson.

There are many ways to get in touch with me so please feel free!  This includes participating in upcoming events as a vendor, sponsoring a giveaway, or consignment opportunities.

Pulp Sushi is proudly a member of The Hudson Valley Etsy Group.
