There was a time when I was on a serious Buddhism kick. I was getting my hands on books, reading blogs, really trying to apply it to my life. And then I let myself get distracted and went a different direction but the Buddha's teaching were never completely lost on me.
With all the crap I was dealing with last month, I took a minute to go back to my bookshelf and revisit some of the books I purchased years ago and only read once. Came across this one....

In the Face of Fear: Buddhist Wisdom for Challenging Times teaches us how to change our state of mind when painful things happen that are beyond our control. It's a collection of essays that talk about facing tough times head on and finding peace in all of it.
For me, it was letting go of the anger I was feeling towards what others were saying and doing. I wrote more about this last week. Not only did I need to let it go, but I also need to learn how to keep it gone and not let it come back.
When I first got this book, I started reading it but I don't think I finished it. I think at that time, I was not ready to take in the message so it sat around waiting for this moment. It's a good read for anyone looking for more awareness of their thoughts and emotions during hard times and how to see it through.
To change gears here, I also wanted to share a treasury my earrings were included in. Gold and Peach - I love this so much! These colors make me happy.
